I had such a blast getting to know this cheery couple and it was an honor to be able to photograph their Newport Back Bay wedding. They are so sweet and in love and not to mention GORGEOUS! Wouldn’t you say? John and Tracy’s was held at Newport Dunes, and the two were wed overlooking the water. I really love how well the colors popped the whole day, making this the perfect summer wedding!

Here is Tracy’s story of how they met and fell in love:
“Right out of college, I was offered a job and was ecstatic to start. After a few weeks, a colleague had asked if I wanted to meet at a bar for happy hour with a bunch of other colleagues. After working late nights for the past month or so, I needed to let loose so I said yes. It was a sprinkling night in February and as I walked into the bar, it was just him sitting there. As I sat down, he explains to me that no one was able to make it but I knew better. He didn’t even invite anyone else!”….

….”Three years later, both with new careers living in a new city, he proposed. The first items on the wedding checklist: pick the date and venue. We both decided a summer wedding by the beach. After touring numerous venues, we fell in love with the last tour of Newport Dunes in Newport Beach and our date was the last available date for the summer! It was meant to be. Once the date and venue were set, it was time for the other hundreds of little details to be arranged. We both agreed that we wanted a romantic and timeless wedding.”….

…”As I was walking down the aisle holding on to my dad, I remember seeing how beautiful the whole ceremony was, how all my friends and family were there and best of all, my soon to be husband as handsome as ever with so much emotions gleaming in his eyes waiting for me at the steps of the gazebo. Once we said our “I Do’s” we walked back down the aisle as, finally, Husband and Wife.”…

…”I hadn’t gotten a chance to take a peek of the reception and was hoping that it was all that I had wished for. As me and my husband walked through the doors and saw the banquet room for the first time, our jaws dropped. It was so romantic and more beautiful than we had ever expected. All the walls were draped in white with pink up lighting, classic canopy over our sweetheart table and centerpieces that were absolutely gorgeous. Once me and my husband thanked all of our 280 guests, we ate, drank and danced the night away with all of our friends and family. As we said our good byes, there was not one guest that did not express how beautiful the venues were and how honored they were to be a part of our lives. Little did everyone know, my husband I were really the honored ones. If it wasn’t for our wedding planners, our supportive family, our loyal friends, that day wouldn’t have been as special as it was. For that, we will be forever grateful. It was truly the best day of our lives.”
