I am a person who rarely gets sick. I’m lucky that I don’t catch every bug that goes around. But this week was an exception for me. You see, I had a nasty cold. The mucus, plugged ears, and the runniest nose that left my face raw. Don’t you hate that?! I knew we had this amazing USC engagement session and I refused to miss it. I’ve never missed an engagement session or wedding. Come hell or high water I will BE there! I was a little worried about it affecting my creativity and focus. But as soon as I sat down to edit these I knew it hadn’t I love how this USC engagement session turned out.

This was a special engagement session for me. You see, it was my first time meeting this sweet couple. Monique and Manuel met with Daniel and booked us while I was on my honeymoon in August. So, as you can imagine, I showed up to the USC campus with fingers crossed that they would be a fun and relaxed couple. Turns out they are all that and gorgeous too!!

I had spoken to Monique via email for months and was thrilled when she told me that her and Manuel had met and dated all four years of college at USC. She was reminiscing on their days bike riding through campus and picnicking on the lawn. So naturally, the USC campus was the perfect place for their engagement session. I love it when a couple’s story truly shows in their engagement session and I really love that Monique + Manuel’s was captured so well.
