Giracci Vineyards Wedding

Giracci Vineyards Wedding - Tony & Susan

Susan and Tony’s wedding journey started in October 2019, we had no idea how the year ahead would drastically change our plans. Just like many other couples, we were flung into a whirlwind of postponements and cancellations, but thankfully the mayhem of 2021 led us to our final destination - the wonderful Giracci Vineyards and Farms.

The bride and groom wanted to pay respect to their families’ Chinese and Vietnamese wedding traditions through a beautiful tea ceremony. The couple offered tea to their elders as a way for them to acknowledge the marriage which was followed by gifts. The bride wore some elegant and traditional Chinese jewelry pieces which represented the family members’ wishes for the couple to have a happy marriage.

The tea ceremony was followed by a more modern “American” ceremony and reception at Giracci Vineyards. The bride said, “we wanted to host one in which the younger and elder guests would be able to enjoy delicious food and have a great time.”

The vineyard is surrounded by trees and foliage against a scenic mountain backdrop. We were so relieved to find that the romance of the vineyard complimented the design perfectly. Oak rooms filled with wine, a dazzling hilltop sunset view, and twinkling lights under the stars made the night truly magical.

The tables were adorned with a velvety texture runner and linen in two varying shades of blush. Susan loved the softness of the blush but wanted a richer tone for contrast. We extended the floral onto the stairs to accentuate a full and organic look. The softness of the design along with the striking natural elements of the venue created the magic of a fairy tale wedding.

Many of the guests can be seen wearing áo dàis, a traditional Vietnamese formal garment, throughout the wedding. It was a beautiful reminder of the couples’ cultural traditions.

Susan and Tony’s ceremony vows stood out to me for being so heavy with emotion. They have known each other for so long yet there was still a rush of emotions when they locked eyes, and an unmistakably deep longing to always share new experiences with each other.

The joy of the two love birds was definitely palpable throughout the day. I personally enjoyed observing Tony occasionally cracking jokes while Susan checked in with everyone and tried to make sure everyone was taken care of. They are one of the most real, honest, and loving couples I’ve had the pleasure to share a day with.
